TEFAF SHOWCASE for recently established galleries and dealers
The pre-eminence of The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) Maastricht among international art fairs has led to a long waiting list for potential exhibitors. In 2008, TEFAF Maastricht launched TEFAF Showcase, designed to give recently established galleries the opportunity to participate in the Fair on a strictly one-off basis, thereby giving young dealers the experience of being part of a major international fine art event.
Participating galleries are housed in a special pavilion with uniformly designed small units created by the Amsterdam-based architect Tom Postma. The pavilion is located in the West Hall of the building housing the Fair. Invited to apply are galleries and dealers representing the variety of disciplines at the Fair, including antiques and works of art, paintings, drawings and prints, antiquities and jewellery, as well as modern and contemporary art.
TEFAF Showcase 2010

The selected exhibitors for TEFAF Showcase 2010 are:
Participation and conditions
• The gallery or dealer should be operating at a high level in their field
• The gallery or dealer should have an international standing
• The gallery or dealer must have been in business for at least three and no more than ten years
• All works of art to be exhibited will be pre-vetted
APPLICATION DEADLINE

It is no longer possible to apply for TEFAF Showcase 2010. The deadline for application for TEFAF Showcase 2011 is 1 October 2010.
SELECTION

A committee composed of TEFAF members and independent art specialists will select between five and seven suitable applicants. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after this date.
participation and costs

Successful applicants will be assigned a unit of around 8- 10 m2. This unit is of standard, ready-to-use format and includes power and lighting; each unit will be fitted with a one-Kilowatt electrical outlet. A fixed rate of € 5.000,- per unit is payable. This includes use of electricity, 4 opening invitations valid for one person each and 20 ordinary fair invitations valid for one person each. Participating galleries are listed in the catalogue in a special section entitled TEFAF Showcase.

Please note: an invitation to participate in TEFAF Showcase is for one year only. Acceptance for the TEFAF Showcase offers no guarantee whatsoever of participation at TEFAF in the future.
DATES

TEFAF Maastricht including TEFAF Showcase 2011 takes place from 18-27 March 2011, with an opening on Thursday 17 March (by invitation).
