TEFAF Showcase

Introduction

TEFAF Showcase gives recently established galleries the opportunity to participate in TEFAF Maastricht for one year and to gain experience of being part of an international fine art event. The pre-eminence of TEFAF among international art fairs has led to a long waiting list for potential exhibitors and TEFAF Showcase enables some of those keen to take part to do so. It also introduces visitors to the Fair to some of the most interesting emerging galleries from around the world. So far, thirty two galleries have taken up this challenge, an experience universally regarded by them as very positive.

Showcase exhibitors 2013

The TEFAF 2013 Showcase exhibitors: Sinai & Sons, Lucas Ratton, Trinity House Paintings, Eric Delalande, TEFAF’s Chairman Ben Janssens, Laurence Souksi and Patrick Heide Contemporary Art

Participation and conditions

  • The gallery or dealer should be operating at a high level in their field
  • The gallery or dealer should have an international standing
  • The gallery or dealer must have been in business for at least three and no more than ten years
  • All works of art to be exhibited will be pre-vetted

APPLICATION DEADLINE

The deadline for application for TEFAF Showcase 2014 is 10 October 2013. Please fill in the form below.

SELECTION

A committee composed of TEFAF members and independent art specialists will select six suitable applicants. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after this date.

participation and costs

Successful applicants will be assigned a unit of around 8-10 m2. This unit is of standard, ready-to-use format and includes power and lighting; each unit will be fitted with a one-Kilowatt electrical outlet. A fixed rate of € 5,000 per unit is payable. This includes use of electricity, 4 opening invitations valid for one person each and 20 ordinary fair invitations valid for one person each. Participating galleries are listed in the catalogue in a special section entitled TEFAF Showcase.

Please note: an invitation to participate in TEFAF Showcase is for one year only. Acceptance for the TEFAF Showcase offers no guarantee whatsoever of participation at TEFAF in the future.

DATES

TEFAF Maastricht including TEFAF Showcase 2014 takes place from 14-23 March 2014, with an opening on Thursday 13 March (by invitation).
