Mr and Mme Burov were the owners of the French seating company Burov, one of the leading companies in the emerging mass production design business in France in the 1960s and 70s.

As a couple, designers Dangles and Defrance were at their most prolific and well-known from 1957 to 1977. They produced some of the most innovative seating in France during this period.

In 1958, they designed the entirety of the Burov's new home in Paris, including all of the furrniture and seating.

The Burov company still exists today and has re-issued several models by Dangles and Defrance, including their iconic Saturne armchair from 1957.
