Statue of Neferhotep

Bronze with silver inlaid eyes Height 28 cm (11 in.) Inscription on the base 'Neferhotep, who gives life'

The left leg was repaired in antiquity. The god stands with his left leg put forward on a rectangular base bearing the inscription: "Neferhotep, who gives life" The god is dressed in a short pleated skirt and bares a naked torso. The right arm is placed along the body, the left is bent forward and probably held a sceptre.
