Regency Work Table with Chinoiserie Penwork Decoration

Japanned wood (birch, cypress, and mahogany) with penwork decoration and fabric-covered workbox 78.7 x 52.7 x 38.1 cm (31 x 20.7 x 15 in.) England - Circa 1820

This table is distinguished not only by its extremely elaborate program of fanciful Chinoiserie decoration, but also by the condition in which it has survived.
