Illustrated manuscript on vellum 26.5 x 17 cm (10.4 x 6.7 in.) Paris - Circa 1260

Illustrated manuscript on vellum with 71 pictures in 65 miniatures accomplished in the workshop that was mainly active for Louis IX. The oldest known copy of this important medieval text, in a 14th century binding. Prof. X. Muratova recently proposed that it was possibly a wedding present from Thibault de Champagne, king of Navarra to the future king Philip the Bold of France.
