By descent from the Rev. Dr. James Elwin Millard (1823-1894) in whose collection this piece was recorded in 1873. At that time a copy was made by the South Kensington (later Victoria and Albert) Museum, cat.no. w827, which is still in the museum’s collection, REPRO.1873-314
