Gregg Baker Asian Art
Gregg Baker Asian Art was established in 1985 as specialists in Japanese art.
Our aim is to introduce people to the beauty and versatility of Japanese art, the main focus being Japanese paper screens and early Buddhist sculpture along with hanging scrolls and objects, not only from Japan but also selected works from China and Korea.
With over 30 years of experience in classical Japanese art, the gallery in recent years has begun to show works from the post-war era and now carries avant-garde painting and sculpture by leading Japanese artists of the mid-20th century.
We hold regular exhibitions at the gallery and participate in several international art fairs which include Asian Art in London, TEFAF Maastricht, TEFAF New York Fall and Masterpiece London.
The gallery is instrumental in building collections for an international clientele, as well as finding works for institutions and museums in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, the U.S.A. and Japan.
Gregg Baker lectures regularly to students of the British Museum, SOAS and Sotheby´s Institute of Art, sharing his passion for this iconic art form with an ever widening audience.
