Old Master Paintings
In 1893 Enrico Frascione began the fine art collection which has now passed to the fourth generation of his family. Galleria Frascione Arte was established in Florence in 2009; it is today owned and directed by Federico Gandolfi Vannini, great-grandson of the founder. Federico is carrying on the Frascione family’s passion for paintings and acquiring masterpieces of great quality. Frascione Arte is a member of Associazione Antiquari d’Italia and has participated at the Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato di Firenze since 2009.
The gallery specializes in Italian paintings from the 14th to 17th centuries, with a particular attention to the Tuscan School. Important art historians collaborate with the gallery. The most significant researches are published in an art-historical journal (“Cahier”) by the gallery itself. In addition the gallery organizes regular rotating exhibitions, which are part of the cultural life of Florence. Frascione Arte has developed an international clientele of museums and private collections in Europe, East Asia and the United States of America.
