Hans P. Kraus Jr. Inc.
Hans P. Kraus Jr., established in New York in 1984, is a dealer in nineteenth and early twentieth century photographs. The gallery is most recognized for representing the work of William Henry Fox Talbot, who announced his invention of photography in 1839, and other early photographers. The gallery also shows the work of the Pictorialists, the first cohesive group to promote photography as fine art at the turn of the century. Publications include monographs and catalogues under the series title Sun Pictures. Hans P. Kraus Jr. Inc. is a member of the ADAA, PADA, and AIPAD, and participates in The ADAA Art Show, TEFAF Maastricht and New York, Photo London, The AIPAD Photography Show, and Paris Photo.
