Modern Art; German Expressionism; Viennese Secession
Richard Nagy has been dealing in Modernist art since 1980. He started the Dover Street Gallery in 1989, and in the autumn of 2010 opened a new space in Old Bond Street, London. Apart from handling masters of the Modernist canon, Nagy has specialized in the work of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt since 1984. His gallery also focuses on German Expressionism: Die Brücke (The Bridge), Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider) and Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity), as well as more recent British artists of a related sensibility, such as Stanley Spencer, Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud. In addition, Symbolist artists – Odilon Redon, James Ensor and Alfred Kubin – are frequently available.
