Galerie G. Sarti
Old Master Paintings
Originally founded in London 40 years ago, the G. Sarti gallery relocated to Paris in 1996, in the elegant surroundings of an “hôtel particulier” close to the Champ-Élysées.
Giovanni Sarti was among the first in France to communicate the extraordinary beauty of the Italian paintings from the 13th to the 15th century and was then recognized by the "Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés" (CNES) of France as the sole expert for this period of Italian painting.
The gallery has two very rare specialities: the 13th to 15th century Italian paintings and the 16th to 18th century pietra dura objects. It regularly organizes large exhibitions that are widely covered by the national and international press. These have become a port of call for collectors, museum curators and amateurs alike.
Past exhibitions have also included "18th century views of Venice and “capricci” (1725-1835)", "Sumptuous hardstone and marble pieces", and also "Italian Caravaggesque painters".
