Japanese Fine Prints and Works of Art, 17th to 20th century.
Created in 1988 in Paris by Tamio Ikeda, the gallery Tanakaya specializes in Japanese original prints and works of art dating from the 17th to the 20th century. The gallery takes part in several international antiques fairs : TEFAF Maastricht, BRAFA in Brussels, Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, Salon International de l'Estampe de Paris etc.. Its customers include a number of European and other international museums.
Major artists of the Ukiyo-e (japanese prints of 18 and 19th centuries) and the Shin-Hanga (japanese prints of the 20th century) : Hokusai, Utamaro, Harunobu, Hiroshige, Kunisada, Kuniyoshi, Yoshitoshi, Hasui, Kotondo etc.
Painters, such as Foujita, Hasegawa,Sugaï etc..
