European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture from 1870 onwards
Offer Waterman opened his first gallery space in Chelsea, London in 1996. Now based in the heart of Mayfair, the gallery has developed an international following for its exceptional Modern, Post-War and Contemporary British art. In addition to our specialist field, our expertise and in-depth understanding of the art market as a whole enables us to assist clients with the acquisition of American and European Modern and Contemporary art.
Offer Waterman places considerable importance on the production and delivery of historical exhibitions. In December 2016, the gallery presented an exhibition of Robert Rauschenberg’s Transfer Drawings from the 1950s and 1960s, the first exhibition in the UK devoted to this rarely seen aspect of his work. In September 2017, we showed a new survey of drawings, paintings and sculpture by British Modernist William Turnbull. Offer Waterman is a benefactor of museums and arts organizations and has provided support to numerous museum exhibitions including the recent David Hockney retrospective at the Tate Gallery, London. In May 2018 the gallery presented a solo exhibit of early works by David Hockney at Frieze New York.
