European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture from 1870 onwards
Created in 1998, Galerie Zlotowski has been dedicated to modern art and avant-gardes of the early 20th century since its opening. We furthermore developed an increasing interest towards more recent artists of the second half of the century. The gallery has become an international reference while taking part in the rediscovery of the pictorial work of Le Corbusier and organized many exhibitions dedicated to this multi-faced artist. In 2016, a special display of his late works (1950’s and 1960’s) was shown at la Biennale de Paris. Galerie Zlotowski also organized an overview of Le Corbusier’s visual art at the University of Architecture (IUAV) during the Venice Biennale of Architecture. In 2017, the gallery has organized an exhibition dedicated to Joaquín Torres-García presenting paintings, drawings, toys and sculptures. During the fall, the gallery plans to present an original exhibition around the French artist François Morellet, reuniting his works and historical European geometrical abstraction. The year before, in the context of the anniversary of Dada, Galerie Zlotowski has shown more than 20 collages by Kurt Schwitters, at ArtBasel in June 2016 then at the Gallery in October. We frequently organize exhibitions with catalogues dedicated to artists such as Albert Gleizes, Amédée Ozenfant, Georges Valmier, Simon Hantaï and Jean Dubuffet. Galerie Zlotowski is well recognized for its commitment to show high quality works and the publishing of catalogues written by the most renowned experts. The gallery takes part to several international art fairs and has the privilege to have notorious museums as clients. The gallery has often loaned pieces for important exhibitions. In 2015, we sent papers, gouaches and sculptures for several Le Corbusier exhibitions in the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, then in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
