Description

This beautiful and unique statuette comes from the Kalundwe ethnic group. It must represents a chief or a prince. Only three figures as higher as this one are nowadays known. This Kalundwe masterpiece echoes Chokwe’s sculpture through its hands and feets carving.

TEFAF spoke with Lucas Ratton on this rare Chokwe’s sculpture.
