Amsterdam, Netherlands, 17 November 2025 – TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) has announced its roster of international exhibitors, including Focus and Showcase participants, and the theme of this year’s annual TEFAF Summit, supported by TEFAF Maastricht’s Global Lead Partner, AXA XL in association with the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO.

The 2026 edition of TEFAF Maastricht returns to the Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Centre (MECC) from March 14 – 19, 2026 (March 12 and 13 by invitation only).

Widely regarded as the world’s premier fair for fine art, antiques, and design, TEFAF Maastricht brings together 7,000 years of art history from ancient to contemporary. This year, it presents 276 dealers and galleries from 24 countries on 5 continents. The fair is unparalleled in exhibiting strictly vetted works of the utmost historical merit and quality. It is an essential destination for global institutions, private collectors, and the broader international art market.

Will Korner, Head of Fairs, comments: “We are privileged to welcome back our TEFAF community to the center of the art world next March. Our selected dealers include so many of the mainstays who have built our fairs through their participation over the years, and it is exciting to introduce new galleries from as far as Mexico, Japan and the United States. The 2026 edition will also feature expanded Paintings, Works on Paper, Modern & Contemporary and Design sections due to the demand for spaces, and we are also excited for our visitors to fully embrace historic and contemporary photography as a medium, with participation from leading dealers in this discipline. TEFAF Focus will once more push the boundaries of famous and lesser known artists, while supporting the next generation of dealers through Showcase, a vital part of TEFAF’s mission. There is much to look forward to at the 2026 edition of TEFAF Maastricht.”

Main Fair
260 leading dealers in all mediums of artworks from all over the world will exhibit in the eight sections of the Main Fair: Paintings, Works on Paper, Antiques, Ancient Art, Jewellery, Modern & Contemporary, Design and Arts of Africa & Oceania. 26 galleries will participate in the Main Fair for the first time, as well as several returning to the fair.

Focus
First launched in 2024, Focus brings pioneering artists of various mediums and periods into dialogue. This section fits within the curational tradition that TEFAF has built over many years, exemplifying the expertise of dealers to go into greater depth into famous names of the art historical canon, as well as those that have previously been overlooked.

The 2026 Focus participants are: Galerie Thomas Schulte (Germany), presenting works by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe; TAFETA (United Kingdom), presenting works by Nigerian ceramicist Ladi Kwali, currently featured in the major Nigerian Modernism exhibition at the Tate Modern; Demisch Danant (United States), presenting works by the French realist Antoine Vollon; Galerie Van den Bruinhorst (Netherlands), presenting works by Dutch furniture designer and architect Gerrit Rietveld; Ceysson & Bénétière (France, Luxembourg, Japan), presenting works by Patrick Saytour, one of the founding members of the Supports-Surfaces movement; Alexis Lartigue (France), presenting works by Sam Francis, the American painter and printmaker; and Galerie Maria Wettergren (France), presenting works by Margrethe Odgaard, the Danish textile and colour designer.

Showcase
Since 2008, TEFAF has championed young and emerging dealers through its Showcase initiative. In 2026, this dynamic section will feature nine galleries, reflecting the same breadth of expertise and artistic vision that defines the broader Maastricht fair, from Renaissance Art and Dutch Old Master Paintings, to 20th century minimalism and 21st century Mexican design.

The following galleries have been selected: AGO Projects (Mexico); Erik Bijzet Sculpture and Works of Art (Netherlands);Galerie Boquet (France); Dries Criel (Belgium); DEVALS (France); Van Herck – Eykelberg (Belgium); Roberti Fine Art (United Kingdom); Torres Nieto Fine Arts (Germany); and Trias Art Experts (Germany).

This edition also marks the third year of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Showcase Prize, which honors one outstanding participant for exceptional talent and contribution, celebrating emerging dealers within the TEFAF community.

TEFAF Summit
TEFAF is proud to host the third annual TEFAF Summit at TEFAF Maastricht on March 16 in partnership with the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO. This forum will explore the theme ‘Beyond Economic Impact – Rethinking Culture in Public Policy’ and will feature panels and talks by over 30 thought leaders, including international experts and policy advisors from across both the public and private arts sectors.

The TEFAF Summit serves as a platform for meaningful discussions and collaboration to raise awareness and promote actionable solutions. For more information, subscribe to the TEFAF newsletter at TEFAF.com.

The TEFAF Summit is supported by TEFAF Maastricht’s Global Lead Partner, AXA XL.
