Collector Relations Manager
The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Collector Relations Manager to join their dynamic team in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As part of the Relationships Team, the Collector Relations Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining VIP relationships, focusing on collectors, museums, special events, and initiatives/charities. They will curate unforgettable experiences at and around the fairs for the most esteemed guests, playing a key role in attracting new buying audiences.
Develop a VIP program for the Maastricht and New York fairs that caters to high-profile collectors, emerging collectors, and other influential individuals. The program should be engaging and diverse and include support for collaborations for travel, hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality experiences in and around the fairs. Relationship Management & Invitations
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing VIP relations and partners, ensuring personalized attention and excellent service throughout their engagement with the event. Managing and maintaining TEFAF’s guestlist.
New VIP Acquisition Through Partnerships and Special Events
Strategically identify, target, and attract potential new VIP clients through strategic partnerships and events, establishing and nurturing connections with them to expand the network and elevate the profile of TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York.
Organize exclusive VIP events, private viewings, and unique experiences that enhance the overall allure of attending TEFAF Maastricht, TEFAF New York, and the surrounding areas, ensuring unparalleled access to artworks and networking opportunities.
Liaison with Partners
Collaborate closely with Events, Marketing, and Programming to facilitate special previews, guided tours, and tailored interactions with TEFAF Exhibitors, enhancing their experience and fostering connections for sponsor and partnership events.
Support and work closely with various internal departments, including Marketing, Operations, and PR/Comms, to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach in delivering and communicating the VIP Program and related activities.
Analyze the effectiveness of the VIP Program, gathering feedback and surveys from participants, sponsors, and exhibitors to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Arts Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (at least three years) in event management, luxury hospitality, or VIP relations, with a strong focus on providing exceptional client experiences.
An appreciation and understanding of the art world, with prior experience in the art fair industry, is an advantage.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and networking skills to interact confidently with high-profile individuals and arts professionals.
Ability to multitask, stay organized under pressure, and manage competing priorities effectively.
Proven experience with processing, managing, and updating data in CRM systems.
Creative problem-solving skills and a solid ability to think strategically and innovatively to deliver unique VIP experiences.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages, primarily Dutch, is beneficial.
Flexibility to travel and work extended hours during the event period.
