Renaissance Masters of High Jewelry, Silverware, and Watchmaking handcrafted in Milan since 1919.
From March 14th to 19th, 2026, The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) in Maastricht will once again open its doors, presenting an unparalleled selection of masterpieces spanning ancient to contemporary art – including paintings, jewellery, sculpture and design.
Buccellati’s longstanding relationship with TEFAF dates back to 1992, when the Maison first recognized the significance of this prestigious fair and chose it as a stage on which to showcase its extraordinarily high jewelry creations. Over the following two decades – until 2014 – Buccellati remained loyal to TEFAF, taking part in every edition and presenting exceptional high jewelry creations and silverware, thereby fostering curiosity and interest in the Maison among visitors.
Today, following its return in 2025, Buccellati once again confirms its participation with a curated selection celebrating the creations of Gianmaria Buccellati and the evolution of his stylistic vision, leading to the new collections designed by Andrea Buccellati, who continues to infuse his distinctive creative touch into both jewellery and silverware.
A Celebration of Colour: The Legacy of Gianmaria Buccellati
The selection presented at TEFAF 2026 is an ode to opulence and coloured gemstones. For Gianmaria, colour was a powerful expressive tool: a means of evoking emotion, enhancing the narrative of his jewellery, and highlighting an exuberant, multifaceted femininity that remained a constant presence throughout his work – all in the service of modernizing and evolving the Buccellati style.
His gemstone palette became increasingly vibrant and varied during the hedonistic 1960s and 1970s, drawing inspiration from the meticulous beauty and intricate complexity of the ancient art of mosaics. Among the high jewelry pieces that embody this vision are some of his most iconic creations, including a rigid yellow and white gold bangle bracelet from the 60s, set with Emeralds and Diamonds, and a yellow and white gold necklace from the 70s, adorned with Tourmalines and Diamonds.
Andrea Buccellati’s Contemporary Vision: The Mosaico Collection
Alongside Gianmaria’s legacy, the most recent creations presented at TEFAF include splendid sets from the Mosaico Collection, designed by Andrea Buccellati, who reinterprets the vibrant colours of the past through a more essential, modern design. The Rococo-inspired gold borders, garlanded and engraved, become more angular, with a distinctive geometric silhouette. Floral shapes transform into stars or sunbeams, and Rococo ornamentation is deconstructed, rendered more abstract. Among these, the pendant earrings, flexible bracelet, and necklace – a complete set from the Mosaico Collection – stand out, all crafted in white and yellow gold set with Diamonds, exemplifying the mastery and innovation of the third generation of designers led by Andrea Buccellati.
The Art of Silver: The Doge Collection
The world of silverware completes Buccellati’s selection, demonstrating the Maison’s sophisticated ability to work silver in combination with semi-precious gemstones, applied both to jewellery and to objects for the home. Buccellati’s inlaid silverware, with its masterful construction and nuanced material combinations, recalls works of architecture. The Doge Collection, introduced by Gianmaria Buccellati in the 70s, includes centrepieces, vases, candlesticks and frames, in which silver enhances inlays of Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Carnelian and Osmeña Pearls, transforming them into sculptural creations. For this edition of TEFAF, Buccellati presents a magnificent vase from the same collection, crafted in silver by Andrea Buccellati in 2025 and further enhanced by oval bezels with rouches and set with Jaspers. These objects, finely executed using ancient repoussé and chasing techniques, represent an integral part of the Maison’s identity.
