Founded in 2016, Plektron Fine Arts is located near Paradeplatz in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland. With nearly twenty years of experience in the cultural sector and international art world, Ludovic Marock started his career i.a. at Unesco World Heritage Center, Sotheby’s and Christie’s. From 2009-2015, he represented Christie’s premier offices in Zurich as an Antiquities specialist in charge of all consignments for worldwide sales from Continental Europe. As an archaeologist, Ludovic Marock has also participated hands-on at archaeological excavations on the Cycladic island Delos in Greece together with the French School of Athens and with the Archaeological Institute of the University of Zurich on Monte Iato near Palermo in Sicily.

At Plektron Fine Arts, Mr Marock showcases ancient works of art from the Mediterranean region with a particular emphasis on the Greek and Roman periods. With its broad range of objects, Plektron Fine Arts not only successfully focuses on keeping ancient art relevant and pertinent, but also adheres to the highest standard of ethical trading, being aware of the importance of impeccable provenance and standards. Plektron Fine Arts is a young, dynamic gallery making a significant and exciting impact on the international art scene.

Plektron Fine Arts is member of the International Association of Dealers in Ancient Art (IADAA), the Swiss Association of Dealers in Art & Antiques (SADAA), the official professional association of the top art and antiques dealers in Switzerland and the International Art Market Association, the Confédération Internationale des Négociants en Œuvres d’Art (CINOA).

Insights From The Exhibitor

Plektron Fine Arts has sold significant ancient works of art to museums e.g. the Louvre in Paris, the Metropolitan Mus. of Fine Arts in New York, the Staatliche Antikensammlung und Glyptothek in Munich or the Umi Mori Museum in Japan. Furthermore, Plektron Fine Arts has loaned important vases for the exhibition “Black is beautiful” at the Staatliche Antikensammlung und Glyptothek in Munich which took place from 24.07.2019 - 06.01.2020 and has important objects on loan in other famous museums.
