TEFAF Announces Landmark Multi-Year Renewals with MECC Maastricht and the Park Avenue Armory

Agreements secure TEFAF Maastricht at MECC Maastricht through 2036 and TEFAF New York at the Park Avenue Armory through 2031

MAASTRICHT AND NEW YORK, September 21, 2026 — TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation), one of the world’s leading art fair organizations, has announced multi-year agreements securing the long-term homes of TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York. The renewals extend the fairs’ longstanding relationships with their host venues and reaffirm TEFAF’s commitment to both cities.

The agreements follow successful editions in 2025 and 2026, which generated strong sales and attracted an international audience of private and institutional collectors.

“These renewals give our exhibitors and partners the confidence to plan for the years ahead,” said Maarten ten Holder, Managing Director of TEFAF. “They reaffirm our commitment to Maastricht and New York and recognize the cultural and economic contributions our fairs make to both cities. They also represent a welcome vote of confidence in the international art market and the community at its heart.”

TEFAF Maastricht

The renewal extends the longstanding partnership between TEFAF and MECC Maastricht, securing the fair’s home through 2036. The new agreement will follow the current contract, which runs through the 2027 edition.

Held in Maastricht since 1988, TEFAF Maastricht is one of the world’s leading fairs for fine art, antiques, and design. Its 2026 edition brought together 277 international exhibitors and welcomed more than 50,000 visitors from 75 countries over eight days.

TEFAF New York

A new five-year agreement secures TEFAF New York’s home at the Park Avenue Armory through 2031, reinforcing its place in the city’s cultural calendar and the international art market.

TEFAF debuted in New York in 2016 and subsequently presented two distinct fairs. Today, TEFAF New York brings together leading galleries, collectors, museum representatives, curators, and art professionals for a carefully curated presentation of modern and contemporary art and design, jewelry, and antiquities.

The Park Avenue Armory provides a distinctive setting for the fair. TEFAF is the only fair to use its 18 historic rooms on the first and second floors for exhibitor presentations.

The Maastricht 2027 fair will take place from March 13-18. March 11 and 12 on invitation only.

TEFAF New York 2027 will take place May 14-18, with invitation only May 13.
