Maastricht, Netherlands - November 28, 2023: The 2024 edition of TEFAF Maastricht organized by The European Fine Art Foundation returns to the Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Centre (MECC) from March 9 – 14, 2024

(March 7 and 8 by invitation).

Widely regarded as the world’s premier fair for fine art, antiques, and design, TEFAF Maastricht brings together 7,000 years of art from ancient to contemporary, this year showcasing 270 of the finest dealers and galleries from 22 countries. The fair is unequalled in its standards and methods employed to showcase vetted works of supreme historical merit and quality to provide private and institutional collectors and visitors with an unparalleled collecting opportunity.

Showcase

Since 2008, TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) has been dedicated to supporting young and emerging dealer talent within the international art market through its TEFAF Showcase initiative. In 2024, the Showcase section will host ten participating galleries between 3 and 10 years old whose breadth of expertise mirrors the scope of TEFAF Maastricht.

According to Will Korner, Head of Fairs, “As an organization and arts foundation, TEFAF has always believed in supporting and nurturing young and emerging dealers. With this initiative, participants can present their works at the prestigious TEFAF Maastricht, helping to launch and support their journey in the art fair world. We hope that the participants of this year's Showcase will be inspired by the success of leading international dealers who started their journey with TEFAF Showcase and that this will be the first of many future fairs for them.”

For TEFAF Maastricht 2024, we are pleased to welcome the new Showcase participants: Tommaso Calabro (Italy); Cavagnis Lacerenza Fine Art (Italy); Thomas Deprez Fine Arts (Belgium); Dürst Britt & Mayhew (Netherlands); Flavio Gianassi - FG Fine Art (United Kingdom); Galerie Louis & Sack (France); Olszewski | Ciacek (Poland); Pelgrims de Bigard (Belgium); Reve Art (Italy) and Edouard Simoens Gallery (Belgium).

TEFAF Focus

TEFAF is thrilled to announce the launch of "TEFAF Focus" in its 2024 edition. This new section provides galleries with a unique curatorial platform to delve more deeply into the work of a single artist or concept.

TEFAF Focus was established to coalesce pioneering artists of different mediums and periods under one banner, from Old Masters to Impressionists, to design and contemporary art, thus aligning with TEFAF's overarching collecting philosophy. According to Will Korner, “TEFAF Focus is intended to expand the definition of an art fair, where thought-provoking connections between diverse art forms are brilliantly displayed and appreciated. The selection of galleries and artists for this inaugural section are considered pioneers in their field, which we expect to add an enhanced and gratifying dimension to the TEFAF experience.

We are pleased to welcome the 2024 TEFAF Focus participants: Sean Kelly (United States); Charles Ede (United Kingdom); Ceysson & Bénétière (France); Mayoral (Spain); Galerie Mitterrand (France); Bowman Sculpture (United Kingdom); Ketabi Bourdet (France); Altomani & Sons (Italy); Galerie Pascal Lansberg (France) and Galerie Pauline Pavec (France).”

"We are thrilled to be preparing for the much-awaited 37th edition of TEFAF Maastricht. TEFAF sets itself apart as a non-profit organization that champions the expertise, quality, and diversity of art in all its varied forms. The fair offers unique and rich opportunities for discovery, giving visitors of all generations the rare opportunity to engage with works of art from the world’s top experts."

- Hidde van Seggelen, TEFAF Executive Committee President.
