Berko Fine Paintings
19th Century Paintings
The Gallery Berko Fine Paintings has existed since 1976 and is recognised internationally as reference for 19th Century figurative paintings. Specialists in quality 19th Century - beginning of the 20th Century European paintings, Patrick and Viviane Berko share their passion with their children Maximin and Irina Berko and her husband, Count Nicolas de Waziers, who help at the art fairs and to manage the business. They regularly participate in the world’s most prestigious art fairs such as Tefaf, Masterpiece and BRAFA. They have also published several important works of reference concerning 19th Century painters, among which their latest publication,“19th Century European Virtuoso Painters.”
Insights From The Gallery
The 19th Century was one of the greatest centuries for art creation. It saw large amounts of social change; the First and Second Industrial Revolutions led to much higher levels of productivity, profit and prosperity. The abundance of riches that ensued was most favourable for artistic creation. The 19th Century therefore gave birth to some of the greatest artists and artistic movements.
