Daxer & Marschall Kunsthandel

19th and early 20th century, paintings, oil sketches, drawings, sculptures
Since it’s founding in 1985, Daxer & Marschall has established an international reputation for high standards of connoisseurship and quality. Today Marcus Marschall and his team rank among the world’s leading galleries specializing in 19th and early 20th-century European painting. Daxer & Marschall made significant sales to some of the world’s most prestigious museums, such as the sculpture Galatea by Max Klinger to The Met, New York. “Art is our passion. We are fascinated by the ingenuity of individual artists especially those who broke new ground by departing from tradition. They were cutting edge in their time and – precisely for that reason – continue to fascinate us today. Thanks to the breadth of our art-historical knowledge and expertise, collectors also entrust us with Old Master paintings. ”
