Old Master Paintings and Drawings
Hazlitt Limited are a leading firm of Art Dealers specialising in Master Paintings and Drawings from the 16th to 20th Century. They are based in their own building in St James’s, London at 38 Bury Street and have an office in New York on 76th Street. The firm was originally established in 1752 as Henry Graves & Company. The firm acts for and sells to major Museums throughout the world and also to private collectors. In recent years it has sold to The National Gallery of London, The National Gallery of Washington, The Rijksmuseum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Getty Museum, The National Gallery of Canada and many smaller museums. It holds the Royal Warrant as Fine Art Dealers to Her Majesty the Queen and is the only firm ever to have held the Royal Warrant for picture dealing. The Managing Director, John Morton Morris, has been a dealer since 1969 and advises many of the firms largest clients including The Queen, The National Portrait Gallery, the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford and The Getty Museum.
