Nara Roesler is a leading Brazilian contemporary art gallery, representing influential Brazilian and international artists whose practices have shaped the field since the second half of the 20th century. The gallery also works with prominent mid-career and emerging artists who carry forward the transformative legacy of Brazilian modernism. Founded in 1989 by Nara Roesler, the gallery has consistently fostered curatorial innovation and upheld the highest standards of artistic production. Renowned for its ambitious and dynamic exhibition program, it stands out for its close and enduring collaborations with artists; the creation of the Roesler Curatorial Project, a platform for national and international curatorial initiatives; and its sustained support of artists beyond the gallery space, working in partnership with institutions and curators on offsite exhibitions. In 2012, the gallery doubled its exhibition space in São Paulo, expanded to Rio de Janeiro in 2014, and opened in New York City in 2015, continuing its mission to provide the best platform for its artists.
