The Manufacture de Sèvres has never ceased encouraging artists and designers to creates decorative porcelain objects. Traditional manufacturing techniques have been placed at the service of innovation, to improve existing forms and to create new shapes. Royal at birth, subsequently imperial and today a National Institution, Sèvres has favoured artistic collaborations throughout its long history. Over the years, hundreds of painters, sculptors, ceramists, designers and architects have followed in their footsteps, creating precious and astonishing œuvres in the Manufactory workshops, from Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann to Jean Arp in the 1950s to more recently, Louise Bourgeois, Zao Wou-Ki, Ettore Sottsass, Pierre Soulages, Yayoi Kusama, Barthélémy Toguo, Lee Ufan and Giuseppe Penone.
LOCATIONS & OPENING HOURS: Galerie de Sèvres is located in Paris near the Louvre and the Comédie Française, and host temporary exhibitions with international artists and designers throughout the year. Our gallery is open from Tuesday to Friday, 2PM-7PM, and Saturday, 11AM-1PM, 2PM-7PM. / Showroom de Sèvres is our sales location inside the Manufacture de Sèvres, showcasing our last productions and editions, open from Monday to Friday by appointment only. / You can also visit us on Artsy.
