This March, TEFAF will bring together and unveil an exceptional selection of works reppresenting over 7,000 years of art history. Presented by internationally renowned specialist dealers, these masterpieces inspire not only connoisseurship but also highlight the crucial importance of preserving our artistic heritage for future generations.
Along side TEFAF's exhibitors, the fair will include museum exhibitions, business stands, a curated program of TEFAF Talks, Meet the Experts sessions, the TEFAF Summit, fine dining experiences, and more.
TEFAF FOCUS
The third edition of TEFAF Focus highlights seven solo-artist projects, from bastions of the art historical canon to rediscoveries, spanning masterpieces of Abstract Expressionism, Scandinavian and De Stijl design, alongside expositions on French Realist painting and Support/Surfaces painting, Nigerian Modernism ceramics, and American photography.
TEFAF Showcase
Since 2008, TEFAF has been dedicated to supporting new and emerging dealer talent through its TEFAF Showcase section, featuring galleries whose breadth of expertise mirrors the scope of TEFAF Maastricht. For the third year in a row, J.P. Morgan will present the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Showcase Prize, designed to recognize emerging dealers within this section. At J.P. Morgan Private Bank, supporting the next generation is central to their mission, both in their client relationships and the communities they serve. The prize embodies their core values by celebrating innovation, excellence, and vision.
TEFAF Programming
Discover a captivating lineup of talks scheduled during the fair, exploring today’s most fascinating topics in the worlds of art, antiques, and design. Along side the rich line up of TEFAF Talks, Meet the Experts sessions will take place across the fair, allowing visitors to interact first hand with exhibitors and the artworks presented at the stands.
TEFAF Summit
Monday, March 16
Presented in association with the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO, the 2026 edition of the TEFAF Summit explores culture’s transformative impact on the economy, social development, and health, and advocates for a stronger integration of the arts into public policy in the Netherlands and beyond. The program will feature panels and talks by 30 thought leaders, including international experts and policy advisors from across the public and private art sectors.

Kunsthaus Zürich
Kunsthaus Zürich presents a focused exhibition during TEFAF Maastricht centered on Alberto Giacometti, one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century. The presentation brings together a selection of significant works by Giacometti, complemented by carefully chosen works by Meret Oppenheim, Cy Twombly, and Rebecca Warren, highlighting dialogues across generations and artistic positions. The exhibition explores themes of figuration, materiality, and the human presence in modern and contemporary sculpture.
Centraal Museum, Utrecht
From April 25 to September 13, 2026, Centraal Museum Utrecht will present the exhibition Gerard van Honthorst – Different to Rembrandt. As a preview, the recently acquired The Ecstasy of Mary Magdalene, will be presented at TEFAF Maastricht ahead of the exhibition, marking its first public display prior to its museum debut in the Netherlands. A rare, early, and beautiful work,The Ecstasy of Mary Magdalene was painted by Honthorst during his time in Rome.
King Baudouin Foundation, Brussels
The King Baudouin Foundation has been working to safeguard Belgian cultural heritage and make it accessible to all for nearly 50 years. It preserves and shares works of art for future generations through philanthropy and partnerships with museums nationwide and abroad. Myriad USA, it’s sister organisation in the United States, enables American donors to contribute artworks and collections to leading museums across the globe. The Foundation’s stand at TEFAF Maastricht exemplifies this mission and the power of giving to sustain heritage.
Prince Claus Fund, Amsterdam
The Prince Claus Fund is proud to showcase its 30-year legacy by presenting the powerful work of artists they supported at this year’s TEFAF Maastricht. As an independent foundation dedicated to culture and development, the Fund supports engaged artists working in places where culture is under pressure—contributing to a more equitable, peaceful, sustainable, and inclusive future. Because culture is a basic need.

TEFAF Museum Restoration Fund
A special presentation, powered by AON, at this year’s fair highlights the 2026 grant recipient of the TEFAF Museum Restoration Fund (TMRF): The Boar Hunt (1616-18) by Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens, from the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. Since 2012, TEFAF has supported the international art community’s vital work to preserve artistic and cultural heritage through TMRF restoration grants across the globe.
