'Fable' shows two winter wrens sitting on a curved branch of an oak tree, leaning lovingly against each other. It is easy to laugh about emotions such as tenderness and endearment, but just as much as fear, horror, sadness or ecstasy, they are true and essential emotions that are part of our rich human emotional life. As humans, we like to project human feelings and character traits onto animals.

Animals are also often the protagonists of ancient fables or cartoons, where they are used metaphorically to cleverly speak about the human condition.
