Multigenerational Collecting: Exploring the Hill Collection Across Generations
Explore the Hill family’s multigenerational approach to collecting art and its impact on the Hill Art Foundation

Overview
J. Tomilson Hill and his wife have assembled one of the world’s most remarkable collections, spanning from Old Masters to contemporary art. In 2019, they founded the Hill Art Foundation to share their collection with the public, with a special focus on education. Their daughter, Astrid Hill, plays a key role in this vision as the foundation’s Vice President, highlighting the family’s deep commitment to collecting as a shared endeavor.
This panel explores the dynamics of multigenerational art collecting, examining how the Hill family’s passion for art is passed down and how this influences both the collection and the foundation. The discussion will consider the future of the Hill Collection, as well as the broader shifts in collecting interests across generations.
