The Art Business Conference at TEFAF Maastricht 2024

The Art Business Conference is the conference for art market professionals held annually in London, New York and now at TEFAF Maastricht 2024. The half-day event will convene international thought leaders, including museum directors, advisors, galleries and collectors for a peer-to-peer exchange on the art world today. The conference is followed by a networking lunch and the conference ticket also includes exclusive access into the TEFAF Maastricht art fair during the Collectors Preview on 8 March.

The Antiquities Market: Establishing a Global Framework: with Anne Laure Bandle (Borel and Barry), Costas Paraskevaides (ArtAncient) and Will Korner (TEFAF)

This session will build upon the recent RAM conference and will discuss the formation of the Due Diligence Toolkit which addresses the unique nature of transactions in the antiquities market. By convening specialists across the art world, the session will explore how stakeholders often face uncertainty regarding the information available about objects and how to proceed, yet these same stakeholders play an essential role in the fight against the illegal market, mainly by applying due diligence.

Travelling exhibitions was a booming business pre-Covid, and as global travel returns to pre-pandemic levels, has the travelling exhibitions business too? This session will explore the new challenges around planning, together with data from the latest exhibitions travelling to China.
