Overview
Rayan Sullivan’s shift from expansive canvases to works on paper signals a deliberate and thoughtful exploration of intimacy, material presence, and restraint. In Untitled (2024), Sullivan engages with paper not as a neutral support but as an active surface. Through Sullivan’s sensitivity to the alchemy between gesture and spontaneity, he experiments in transforming the medium.
